    I was just outside with the dog in a light fleece.  It felt very warm to me at about 20.  The last few days have been below zero.  Meh....winter in NNY.

    Just so. east of the Appalachian & it's a balmy 23. Have the wood stove going to supplement the POS heat pumps they use in this area. I ran a combination of 6" rigid & insulated flex duct with an inline fan to move heat 25' from the stove to the lower hall at the base of the stairs. I even put a 25w bulb in the cat's house on the porch.

    Select problem is less the temp more the wind 10-20 mph drops the temp another ten degrees!

    It's "warm" in the MidWest. Yesterday at 5AM temp was 0*. Today it's 22* at 5AM.

    It was 0 yesterday morning here and this AM my furnace went out!  Thankfully the temp had risen to around 20.  Had a bad thermocouple.  Also glad I have a backup gas log fireplace in the basement!

    Got up to a thin layer of sleet everywhere this AM in SW Arkansas. It melted off by 10, now 35* and drizzle. Think I'll whip up a pot of venison chili.
