Discussion at Church Sunday.....those of us who are Conservative and/or Christian are WAY to nice.
The gist of the talk and thoughts were that the commies would win because conservatives and Christians have manners and we are polite. We would never dream of rioting in the street while beating and killing people who disagreed with us or looting and stealing. Yes as a group, we are VERY well armed but we would never go out and start shooting commie/leftist/Marxist/socialist pieces of human filth. The consensus was, that as long as the commies just keep taking away our rights in small pieces over the next 10 years we will not rise up until it is to late. The worst part of this is that I think this is correct. They will beat us by making sure they never go for the whole pie at any one time, just taking a small slice today an even smaller slice next month until one day we wake up and every one of our rights are gone. We will have been beaten because we are nice, decent, caring people.

My problem is that I can't think like a typical liberal. Most conservatives have blinders on. We try to see the best in people and tend to downplay their faults. Liberals are just the opposite and only look for the negative. I have a hard time thinking liberals are actually serious about some of the ideas they come up with. I have always voted republican even though I grew up surrounded by UAW people. Those same UAW people from the 60s and 70s would be laughing at most if not all of todays democrats and would probably vote republican now to save their jobs and to keep their income. Most of those union workers had good wages and some had bigger gun collections than I do. The dems are like children testing their boundaries and seeing how far they can go before they get their bottoms smacked. I think that point is getting closer and closer. At least I hope so. I guess we will see after this coming election. Bob 0 -
