3rd UPDATE: Prayer Request and good thoughts
My wife, Barbara, of 55 years come April is having brain surgery to remove a large meningioma tumor from the right frontal lobe, thought to be benign, early tomorrow morning. She and I would appreciate any prayers and good thoughts for a successful operation and a quick, problem free recovery. Our thanks to everyone.
James
UPDATE:
Barb came home yesterday three days after the surgery procedure. She nor or I neither one can put into words just how much everyone's comments have meant to us. Your prayers and good wishes for her has, and continues to give her the inspiration she needs to keep her spirit high and fight on through the healing process.
She's had a lot of life threatening close calls, twice from when she was a young married, later with cancer, and now again with this latest battle. Thank you for being there for her when she needs it most on this latest front.
I intend to make one more post sometimes next weak when we get the pathology report back.
Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
James
3rd UPDATE:
The first two days after Barbara came home were not so good, but the third day came with some sunshine and she was feeling much better and eating a bit better, too! Each day since then has been a positive one as well! Right now we're trying to manage her diet to where her potassium level comes down to normal and fits with her Type 2 diabetes diet.
On a recent visit to her primary care doctor, we found that the pathologist report shows that the tumor removed was a Meningioma Stage 2. To my limited understanding this type tumor is fast growing and can come back, but is neither benign nor malignant. Aside from this basic knowledge...and I'm not even positive about it, being correct, I do remember that the surgeon told me that he had gotten all of it, completely. She has another MRI scheduled and an appointment with her surgeon about a month from now to find out more about the tumor and what treatments might be needed in the future. So, working with this information, everything seems to be going as best as can be expected right now, and she gets her stitches taken out this Monday, (the wound appears to be healing nicely!), and that makes us happy! With this in mind, let me echo once again, how she feels about her GunBroker Family Support!:
" She nor or I neither one can put into words just how much everyone's comments have meant to us. Your prayers and good wishes for her has, and continues to give her the inspiration she needs to keep her spirit high and fight on through the healing process. " She sends her love as well.
