I'm Radioactive
This morning I had a stress test with nuclear imaging. They injected some radioactive waste into my left hand, sent me through the imaging machine, then I got some more radioactive waste before I started the treadmill. After an hour I had another scan with the imager, they pulled off my lead stickies and kicked me out. It's going to be a few days before I find out any results, but I'm thinking I may need a stent or two. At least it wont be as bad as my 5 bypasses.

Time to take a stroll through an international airport! They have radiation sensors that will be set off. It will take them several minutes to track you down. Not too sure about this, but it was on a TV documentary this week. Some lady had had a thyroid test, and the security team nearly went nuts until they found her. 0 -

Hope all turns out well for you bubbajr! Back during the final year or so for my FIL, he had to get these bladder infusions attempting to kill off the cancer there. When he got home during the next 24 hours, every time he would urinate, the toilet had to be treated with bleach.
My wife was doing their housework at the time and nearly killed herself when she cleaned the stool with ammonia! She now suffers with COPD from that life episode.0 -
had to take load to dump once picked up my 80 year old mother to run some errands after the dump. she tripped the alarm at the scales, the gal running the scale ask me if either one of us had had stress test recently, said it allways tripped the alarm. mom had just had one the day before.... makes you wonder just what they do put in ya?????? 0 -

I just got a call from the Dr's office. She said I was low risk, and there was no significant blockage. I am having chest pain since the procedure, but that was due to having my arms over my head stressing my sternum. It healed up kind of funny after my bypasses. Also they told me that the half life of the radioactive waste was 6 hours. They gave me a card to present to whomever had a geiger counter explaning why I was emitting radioactivity.I guess now we just have to figure out why I was having chest pains. The nitro worked every time to stop it, so something is going on.Thanks for the concern and well wishes.Joe

I passed both stress tests, first one had to have 3 bypass, passed second one and week later they found massive pulmonary bloodclot, I don't put much faith in stress tests, hope your results are better, don't let em brush you off, there have to be reasons.... good luck 0 -

You may be having spasms in the coronary arteries that come and go. It can cause angina relieved by nitro, but can also be very difficult to catch. If it keeps up, you will need a cardiac cath (gold standard), as even nuclear stress tests can be false negative, as well as positive.0
