    For hunting purposes, I guess it would legally be a rifle ....................................... right?

    No clue.. I don't think it would do anything a Crossbow couldn't do

    illegal  as for archery deer hunting.....because a propellant is used to advance the arrow,  it would put in the classification of a firearm

    Agree. What is the point of a loud Crossbow with limited temperature range?
