I your profile, there is a heading "Points", can someone tell me (seriously) what that means?

  1.  Discussions you start or comments you make earn points

  2. If someone "likes" your comment, then you get points

  3. If you've been a member of the forum for 1 year, 2 years, and so on...you get point.

  4. There are other ways as well.

  Before you even ask...the points are meaningless, but so is the post count, which you were concerned about. All you have to worry about is the mandatory 12,000 post giveaway, which you are fast approaching.

  To be clear, I was curious not concerned about the post count and also curious about the points thing.

  Maybe they will change the forums again and my post count could be reduced significantly  there-by allowing me to dodge the mandatory giveaway requirement for a while.
