Winchester Model 1904
Very nice rifle for the condition and price!

Kimi, not sure if he knows the difference between a .22LR and a .22 Extra Long.

I agree that it does look that way, Trap.

That is an exceptional 1904 and probably a decent buy. You have to look at a lot of those 1900s style rifles to find that nice of stock. I think the seller would do better if he would start his auctions at a lower bid. Of all the auctions he now has running he has one bid.
I wanted some extra longs to have with my rifles and found a box at Tulsa for only $400.00 😳 I found a partial box for a "slightly" lower price.

You made out on the shells to my knowledge. I'd read lately that someone paid 1300 bucks for a box of them. Yes, a person will have to look at a lot of 1904's before they find one with a stock in such fine shape, especially with the crescent BP. The blue on the bottom and forward part of the rifle including the butt plate is kind of nice too. Someone should jump on this one and quick. If I wanted it, I'd want a better description of the bore, though...and a 3 day insp/return if not satisfied.

Mine isn't as nice, but I'd bet it has killed one heck of a lot more stuff!!!! 😎 It was my parent's gun and they gave it to me on about my 8th birthday!

Lots of great memories there, Bill, and what a nice Christmas present that was! 3 -
Can you imagine the excitement of the boy that found that under the Christmas tree on Christmas morning over a hundred years ago. I wouldn't have slept for days. 0 -
These little guys have become kind of addicting. None of these are as nice as the one for sale, but some are hard to find. After much frustration I think I have a picture.

That's a cute little rifle! I like "Boys Rifles". I have a small collection of them, seems all the major companies offered something along with a bunch of small companies back in the day.
Winchester, Remington, Savage, Stevens, Hamilton, Quackenbush, etc.....Damn things used to be pretty inexpensive too.
It can real hard to find real nice ones! Kids just wore them out, or they spent several decades in barns, chicken coops, and boat houses!0 -
I finally figured out the picture thing, with a lot of help from my friends.
picture up there.:D /\0
