    Homage individual thin crust pizzas

Boboli organic multi grain thin crust

Olive oil and a small brush

A robust sauce heavily applied right to the crust edge

Fine cut 6 artisan Italian cheese mix

9 thin cut spicy Italian pepperoni slices

McCormick fresh Italian spies and flavors blend

Sea salt and some hand ground cracked black pepper

Cook directly on oven rack - so convection occurs and air circulates - a crispy crunchy crust and fully cooked pepperoni with cheese starting to brown

Remove using oversized wooden pizza spatula - place in perforated cookie cooling racks

When cooled cut into thirds and place on plate - garnish with a handful of utz rippled BBQ chips

Your choice of peroni nastro azzurro or moretti steamship from the bottle into pilsner glasses - a bottle of crisp white la scola gavi uncorked and breathing in a bucket of ice - overturned glasses resting on linen napkins...

A small simple silver bowl half full of roasted almonds and m&m's...

Possibly some half pint containers of vanilla bean ice cream.

Maybe a glass bottle of Mexican classic coke made with pure cane sugar / no HFCS served over ice in a long necked tumbler for me and a kurig Kcup for her...

    Mike

I think I have lived here the longest. But even when I was stationed here I was deployed and when I retired I basically lived in Africa for 10 years.

If someone asks where I am from I tell them GA.

Comfort food don't come from a can, smashed taters, home raised shellie beans, corn bread, and an ice cold glass of butter milk, yum, yum. I am comforted just think about it.

I am from the hills of NC, at least 8th generation and dang proud of it. Some relation to Dan'L Boone.

Wife and her ancestors go way back from the hills to, her great grand mother was full Cherokee Indian. She is part bull dog to, you should figure out the rest of the saying, grins.

Having something similar to your recipe, Ken. Cut and browned 15 all beef franks into 3/4 inch pieces in butter with one half finely diced large onion, all seasoned with salt, pepper, and garlic seasoning in a 10" wide and deep skillet, and then added three cans of van De Camps Pork and Beans in Tomato sauce, Sugar Ray's BBQ sauce, plus some mustard. Then added about 10 slices of bacon cooked about 2/3rds of the way and chopped, heating at a low simmer. Wife's making some rice to go with it.

Good stuff Kimi. I thoroughly enjoyed mine. I have leftovers ready to go, for a follow up.

Agreed Ken. I use HN dogs and broil them first. As for Van Camps, to paraphrase Clara - "where's the pork"!

When I first tried Bush's Best canned pork & beans many years ago, I never went back to all the other brands of canned beans. They taste good right out of the can without any doctoring and you always get one little chunk of pork (mostly fat) 😋 in every can!

Comfort food to me is anything that sticks to your ribs and fills you up in one sitting where the fullness of the meal lasts for several hours.

Yes! Bean dishes with all of their starch, fit the bill for comfort! Potato meals also and with added meats and cheeses......YUM!

Take three boxes of Kraft mac n cheese and cook 'em up according to the directions. While that's cooking brown a pound or two of ground beef and slice up a can of black olives. Once you've mixed up the mac n cheese add the burger and olives and stir it all together. Place this conglomeration in a casserole dish and smother it with shredded cheese. Cheddar, pepper jack, whatever floats your boat. Put this in the oven at 350 for about a half an hour or so. Yummy and it sticks with you. Sometimes I'll substitute tuna for the ground beef, 1 can per box of mac n cheese.

Another favorite is what we call 'cheesy tater dogs'. Layer a bunch of good hot dogs in the bottom of a 9x9 baking dish, smother that with a thick layer of instant mashed potatoes, then cover that whole mess with shredded cheese. Bake at 400 until the cheese starts to brown.

    Dang! Now I'm hungry!

Spam works great in scalloped potatoes! Poor mans ham. Add some cheddar cheese and you got awww grotten. (hog rotten) taters!
