Discovered a bit of my ancestry last night

I visited the Masonic Lodge in the town my dad grew up in. They had pictures of past masters back to the 1880’s.

My grandfather died 18 years before I was born. This gentleman was my great grandfather.

I don’t know why the picture won’t load.

  Congrats on finding the picture! Ask the secretary if they have the minutes of his meetings, might be surprised what you find. we keep a record of all our meetings in our archives. Lots of interesting things to see. One of my great-great uncles conducted a trial when they kicked out a bootlegger. You would have thought he committed murder!!!
