joined a local range yesterday
a good friend a i built a small range on his property several years ago that has worked well for us. two years ago one of the coast cities annexed his property so its just a matter of time for us to be shut down. the new range is run by a bunch of old guys who have established the rules and run things the way they want, thats fine its their place. as an example one of the safety rules is you cannot fire a pistol chambered for rifle cartridges on the pistol range. me being me asks "what about a thirty carbine in a ruger single action" No! thats a rifle cart. well then how about 357's are they ok. Oh yes he says, thats a pistol cart. It is what it is, keep my mouth shut and follow the rules.

if you are shooting a pistol, how will they know the caliber???

Good way to get booted from a new range is to try and fool the guys that make the rules!
