My Thoughts On Remote Girl
I have 2 grandkids that are interested in guns. Cameron 15 which has been interested in guns 8 or 9 years or more. His sister Lauren just turned 7 and she told me she wished she was a boy so she could shoot guns with me.
I asked her why she thought i would not teach her to shoot and she told me because she was a girl. I told her baby you can do anything a boy can do just as good and some things better. NEVER let being a girl be an EXCUSE for not getting where you want to be.
I told her Papa can not get in the cold anymore but as soon as it warms up i will teach her to shoot as good as her brother or better.
We go through gunbroker and look at guns and see which ones she likes.
She has been with me when we opened gb post and i have no problem opening a post with my 7 year old grandbaby beside me even if it is remote girl.
What bothers me the most is when she ask why do they fuss so much between people on here.
I just tell her when some people disagree with someone they tend to get carried away and say crazy things instead of just keeping their mouth shut.
If i had to choose between remote girl and fussing, bickering and whatever else you want to call it im down for remote girl.
Its easier to explain a girl in under ware than why 2 or more adults can not get along.

Some guy sitting with his granddaughter in his lap looking at remote girl has got to be the creepiest scenario imaginable.....and shouldn't be something that "accidentally" ever happens.

Agree. I get embarrassed if my granddaughter is in the room when a commercial comes on about feminine products.

I would say Remote girl is pretty tame compared to the garbage even on over the air tv, one episode of Jerry Springer or Maury trumps a picture of remote girl and as noted some commercials are pretty risque too.
Besides that I don't know how you can accidentally open a post labeled REMOTE GIRL but each to his own opinion.

Lets just move on from this topic since it should be clear that this is not the place to share those types of pictures....or anything even "remotely" close to it. (See what I did there!)

Agree that it has no place here. Also agree that a young girl today would likely not cringe at seeing a woman in underwear. I never clicked on that thread (if I want porn, I can find much better stuff that that) but can't imagine anybody doing so accidentally. And hope that nobody would do it deliberately with his granddaughter on his lap.
Regardless, it's gone. Good riddance. Back to topics like monkey brains, BBQ and the .30-06.

GB forums should he as positive a place as reasonable for as many people as possible. That is how we will sustain and grow our numbers for the future.

Yes, she is history. Although a rather pleasant one. I would have never have shown either of my grand-daughters that when they were little. One thing I will always remember is when I asked the 7 year old if she knew the difference between boy and girl cats (my wife has about 10 outside cats). My daughter-in-law asked if I really wanted to do this. I said sure, the boys say MEOW and the girls say meow. We still laugh about this 15 years later.
