Mike.. I have only shot the gun 24 shots in the many years I have owned it. I can say a dozen deer a couple coyotes have ate the dirt. Just a few shots to sight it in and a few long range play shots. I have a Vortex 6x20 Viper optics in mil dot . Heavy sharpshooter weapons have very little recoil. The coolest feature on the gun is the safety. It is in the trigger guard and once the target is gotten you do not have to take your eyes off of it thru the scope. Just push up on the safety and it is good to go. My gun has the old micmillian adjustable stock like in the video. I am on the fence selling or holding on just a little longer. I haven't shot it in yrs.

    I understand.

While I was fascinated by the performance of my FN Mauser chambered in .270 Gibbs by Rocky himself - including taking suggested load data from direct correspondence between him and the buyer / patron and having superior ammunition load some hot ignition tube compression loads with 90 grain bullets that exceeded 4500 FPS...

After getting it set up and sighted in it saw almost no usage.

I felt bad for neglecting it and not using it as intended - to its full potential and it was actually a relief to sell it and pass it on to a gent who would use it right and understood the history...

I am certain many of us have a closet queen that does not see the usage it deserves...

As with any sniper specialty weapon buyers are skeptical to purchase of how the gun was shot and cleaned. I keep a log book of every shot. I did get the two coyotes with Underwood 115 gr .308 pills. They were awesome in destroying the whole varmit.

They weigh 12 lbs. from the factory. What did you add that weighed one third as much as the whole gun?

That is the weight unloaded without the mag. Add loaded mag, rings, scope, bipod , sling and it comes out 15#. Just for kicks I weighed my Remington 700 Long range 26" heavy barrel 25/06. Remington says it weighs 9#. I did install a magpul mag on it, bipod, rings and scope and sling . Loaded it weighs 12.2 oz. Roughly the same 3# for everything as the Sig.

I thought maybe you had riveted a big 5 lb. brass Dale Earnhardt Jr. commemorative signature plate to the side of it. 😁

Just imagine what those .50 Bolts weigh...30# or so.. Their bipods are real heavy.. along with the ammo.

I also failed to mention the Sig is a long action .308. Mags will take 30/06, 270, 25/06, ect and others. Has a quick change barrel feature that it takes appox 10-15 min to change out to another caliber as long as you have a benchmark or similar barrel made for it.
