Based on the numbers you give here, my math works out a little differently.

33 sounds good, my Kia only gets about 26 avg, I was reading about the Kia Niro, supposed to be a nice little SUV with a battery can get 50 MPG.

We’re you on the West Virginia turnpike? You know, the road they built with the smooth side down?

My F250 gets 11 MPG, with a tail wind, going downhill, both ways with a tractor trailer truck pushing it!!

Sounds like your wife has a heavy foot

I have a 07 Camry with a 4 banger for commuting to GA every month. It doesn't get all that great mileage around town 25-27 but on the highway it gets 30-32 running 78mph. The engine is noisy and there is a lot of road noise compaired to my truck.

If I run Hightest in it I get even better mileage.

Wife's '13 Camry with a six cylinder will get 39 - 40 running with the cruise set at 70

I've ridden with many people whose idea of "holding it at 60" consisted of pulsing the gas pedal - goose it to 63, then foot almost off down to 57. Repeat endlessly. That absolutely ruins mileage. It's done unconsciously; they think they're cruising along at a constant speed. For them, cruise control makes a HUGE difference.

My 2016 Chevy Z71 2500 HD Crew Cab 4x4 gets an average 15 mpg. I'm conscious of my get up to cruising speed tactics and once there cruise control is my friend. I'm not in a race car and dont treat it as such at stop/start.

Same as my F250.. Both safe vehicles to drive. Fuel mileage means nothing if you are in a crash
