I think Boeing is a boondoggle industry now for our congress to fund and give all the money to inept builders & lobbyist as we the people go into debt and politicians cut taxes on international corporations then raising the debt ceiling and having impeachment proceedings and watch our Country flounder and collapse into chaos.

Have fun watching the Superbowl on your yacht and give them cake if they have no bread! After all it's not their problem!

How very lucky those laid off folks are with the economy booming in so many other areas and the supply of workers is in short supply.  Most everwhere you look, there are 'help wanted' signs.
    :-)
Lucky? I doubt it.For the average America there is no good paying jobs anymore. Asked old timers about manufacturing jobs, truck driving jobs etc... They have evaporated and with Formalized knowledge and Artificial intelligence taking the lion share of past good paying American jobs & the lies from Washington D.C. about new skills and new jobs is a lie.,for the average person.
Hate to say but The Democrats are going to sell Socialism and illegal immigration while Republicans sell tax cuts for The major corporations and corporate incentives for any investments locally  while both parties raise debt ceilings to cater to their power base and The Federal Reserve Dollar loses it's reserve currency status and robs what is left of a corrupt society from the top to the bottom.

Then The government will  begin The 5G police state and take our rights away slowly while chaos breaks out in populations with no hope for the common man. The inner cities are going to start burning soon in my opinion.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2015/05/10/opinion/sunday/the-real-problem-with-americas-inner-cities.html

In all inner-city neighborhoods, however, there is a problem minority that varies between about 12.1 percent (in San Diego, for example) and 28 percent (in Phoenix) that comes largely from the disconnected youth between ages 16 and 24. Most are not in school and are chronically out of work, though their numbers are supplemented by working- and middle-class dropouts. With few skills and a contempt for low-wage jobs, they subsist through the underground economy of illicit trading and crime. Many belong to gangs.

Their street or thug culture is real, with a configuration of norms, values and habits that are, disturbingly, rooted in a ghetto brand of core American mainstream values: hypermasculinity, the aggressive assertion and defense of respect, extreme individualism, materialism and a reverence for the gun, all inflected with a threatening vision of blackness openly embraced as the thug life.

One bird in the hand is better than two in the bush. Keep predicting and hope for the best but be prepared for the worst. A tax cut for the working class is will be very small compared to Corporations and big businesses in fact Amazon payed no federal taxes in 2018 because they got the tax code all line up like ducks in a row.

ITEP criticized the Trump administration for the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which ITEP says did not close tax loopholes that profitable companies can use to avoid paying income taxes..

The fine print of Amazon’s income tax disclosure shows that this achievement is partly due to various unspecified 'tax credits' as well as a tax break for executive stock options."

Don't forget the Golden parachutes and stock options that no working person will ever see in his lifetime! It's all been bought off by lobbyists and Super-pacs along with Congress and then of course the dumb sheep who keeps voting like a brain dead jack-asses.The two party system is a farce here in The USA. Socialism or Corporate Fascism  is the only two choices you have now. Free Enterprise and Democracy is nothing but a facade of confidence men/women  raping the public with debt.

Really ........ only Socialism or Corporate Fascism ??
No sure what world you are living in, or perhaps it's the Democrat Party world.
Perhaps a third party where you work and get a livable wage, make government pay as they go instead of adding debt with trillions of dollars to prop up your voting base to vote for them. Curtail Super-Pacs and term limitations to stop career politicians and Repeal The Central Bank of The Federal Reserve that adds debt and have congress back our currency with sound  intrinsic commodities like gold or silver instead digital dollars back by We the people who get the tax bills for all the giveaways & tax cuts to corporations with stock options workarounds for wages and social welfare programs giveaways but not entitlements that people were forced into investing in before retiring. Like medicare and social security.

Trump is a nothing but another manipulator hypocrite politician for rich republicans and is a two faced back stabber. Read below! He should cut the military spending and stop all the brush fire wars we the people support! we are going to lose Iraq soon enough or start WWW III to preserve the fake petrol dollar.

President Trump suggested on Wednesday that he would be willing to consider cuts to social safety-net programs like Medicare to reduce the federal deficit if he wins a second term, an apparent shift from his 2016 campaign promise to protect funding for such entitlements. The president made the comments on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. Despite promises to reduce the federal budget deficit, it has ballooned under Mr. Trump’s watch as a result of sweeping tax cuts and additional government spending
