Ahh, I see Mike. You are referring to the badges on a person's profile. I assume it's considered different than "Member" status listed on each post, with what appears to be a max of 3 stars for regular forum members and up to 5 or so for folks like Mark Christian. 0 -

I was a lowly level 2 also, until I inserted pictures on a thread. Then pole vaulted straight to level 3 status, it said because I posted pics.

I had an original join date of 01-01-01. After the last reboot, it said I joined 12-30-00, and that one stuck with this reboot, and gave me the ancient badge. Weird.
