Yet another cool feature I discovered-- re: announcements
Obviously things are changing, so this may too, but presently you can choose to dismiss announcements, such that they don't appear as stickeys at the top of the discussion forum. Just click on the little gear icon on the announcement and choose "dismiss".

After you dismiss a sticky, how do you get it to appear again?

This is just theory, but once dismissed, a sticky, which is called an "announcement " in this twisted forum world we now reside in, will reappear only if the sticky is updated.

That would be rational and helpful, Mark. Which probably means that's not what would happen in this Twilight Zone dimension.
Edit to add: I just tried it. Clicked on DISMISS for all but the Fallen Members "Announcement" and then refreshed. POOF!

Looks like I figured out one of the hundreds of mysterious features of the forum. Now that we know how it works, I went back and deleted to update.
