just got back from preadmission for surgery...
the anastethiest? took one look at my EKG and told me I needed to get to my cardiologist. I sort of snickered and told him I had irregular EKG's. I have to see my cardiologist friday for his final approval for my hip replacement, anastethiest told me he would need written approval from my cardiologist for the surgery. My cardiologist told me right after my bypass if any other doctor ever looked at my EKG's they would probubly send me for tests, guess he was right, I hope there are no holdups I just want this to be over and hopefully get to walking good again before warm weather.....

For what it is worth I've heard two people tell me Hips are easier than knees 3 -
I have had neither 98 but a good friend has had both knees and both hips. Yes, he says the hips were easier. Perhaps the range of motion is a factor. I'm no medical doctor but I did sleep at a Holiday Inn last week.

Good luck. I'd rather they express concern before the surgery, than express sorrow that you died on the table during surgery. 0 -
