Lyman Scope Repair

I have an older Lyman Japan made variable scope. The adjustment ring is frozen on the lowest power. I need recommendations as to the best place to send it for repair.

  I have an older Unertil scope that had a frozen a/o ring. After doing some research, the most common thing was the grease got hard. Put it over the heater vent and it broke free. Might be worth a try..

  If heat doesn't work, you may want to try one of the techs on our listing below. At the least, any scope rebuilt today will have low temperature grease used on the threads, & will be filled with nitrogen or some other inert gas.

No 6 or 8 month wait...Price for crosshair wire replacement is $85 and I?ll pay return shipping. For Do It Yourselfer?s, I also sell the best crosshair wire money can buy for about 20 years now. Its annealed Tungsten, is very strong & shows up Jet Black when installed. I have two diameters to choose from. Medium (.0015?) and Fine (.0005?). Price is $15 per 10 foot length of either wire.
