BRNO 21 Scope Mounts
I've bought a BRNO 21H in 8mm Mauser. I was aware the butter-knife bolt handle required high rings and I'd have to be careful about using a scope with a small rear bell. Figured it wouldn't be too much of a challenge ....
Looks like every CZ type ring maxs out at about .535 (base to bottom of ring) and even with the old Redfield "TV" rear bell I'm coming up short. From what I've read CZ brand rings were offered in .700, which would definitely clear, but they're nowhere to be found. Highest I see is .550 and I think that's still too short.
I found EAW rings:

Am I correct on the following - 25.4mm is a 1" tube, 18mm = .71" which should make them high enough.
Also found EAW steel rings at NECG, but they're shown as 26mm - is that going to work with a 1" scope tube?
https://www.newenglandcustomgun.com/proddetail.php?prod=7893
These are .671 high and that should work. But at $190.00 a set, I'm hoping to find a more "economical" set of rings.
I don't want to use a one piece adapter that will allow for Weaver type rings, want to keep this "period correct". Any suggestions?

Conetrol lists Brno dovetails but they aren't cheap, either.
Conetrol | Projectionless Scope Mounts | Specialty Rings and Bases
Conetrol also offers a large inventory of DapTar bases, designed to fit the special integral mounting mechanisms of various gun manufacturers without drilling or tapping.26mm rings won't hold a 1" scope. I don't know if there are shims available like you can get for 30mm.

Thank you. I had looked up Conetrol but didn't spot their bases for the 19mm CZ.

You might consider, contacting the customer service folks at Brownells. They have a extensive inventory of rings and bases. Might have something, that will work with your CZ? 0 -
I went with the Leupold high rings. They're .6" high and it gives me just enough to clear the bot handle with an older Redfield 2 to 7X scope. Plenty of room with a straight power scope with a smaller rear bell.
