Rewards for getting vaccinated -- OK or not?
I see several states and localities are now offering unvaccinated people various incentives to get the COVID jab -- things like free passes to sporting and entertainment events, chance to win a lottery, etc. Is this a good way to help halt COVID, or is it a slap to folks who got vaccinated on their own without any reward other than immunity? (I don't care either way; I'm just curious what you think.)

This is the same as the mask issue. If you want to get the vaccine, get it.If you don't want it,dont get it.Things go a lot smoother when we mind our own business.

Walmart offered a $75 bonus if you showed your vaccine card to the HR. Many employees did, i did not. The HR witch tried to guilt me into getting vaccinated for free but i refused. Now i am forced to contnue wearing a mask if i want to continue working there.

The health departments of most states have the ability to force compliance with public health requirements. Last time I can remember (of course I am not all that old 😁) was during the TB epidemic in the late 40's early 50's, when many of the greatest generation came home with TB from Europe. My late father in law was one of those. People who refused treatment were put in state hospitals.
My reference is to those that make medical decisions from a political view, not from a medical view. There may well be good medical reasons for avoiding the vaccine, but they do not apply to most ignoring or refusing it, and those people create more risk to themselves and everyone else. That is not genius.
" . . . force compliance with public health requirements."
Has this been declared - by "the health departments of most states" - to be a "public health requirement"?
If "No", then the point is inaccurate; If "Yes", then why is compliance not forced? How will compliance be forced? Will I eventually be placed in a state hospital? Does they even have state hospitals anymore?

If someone wants to sell their body to science for a beer, I'm not going to stop them.

I read Budweiser was going to give free beer if 70% were vaccinated by July 4th.
For me personally, that’s more of the stick than the carrot!

Same logic applies. If someone decides not to get the vaccine because they have political reasons........they STILL cannot get a vaccinated person sick(if the vaccines work). That is an old tired excuse to push an agenda on someone.
But of course they can transfer the virus to any number of unvaccinated people, including small children. Herd immunity works when a large percentage are vaccinated, making the unvaccinated people less common and thus less vulnerable.

I'm sorry, but when governments are trying to bribe/coerce people to take a "vaccine" my red flag goes up. There's something fundamentally wrong with this picture.
Yep, wanna get more people vaccinated? How about lift the ban on people suing the drug companies when 20-30 years down the road they have developed serious health issues?

Yeah, that's another red flag.
BTW...has anyone been following this Fauci email story? I read an article the day before yesterday which had some excerpts from some of these emails. Looks pretty bad for Fauci. One of the emails identified another drug which was a cure for the 'Rona' back before all this began. In other words, no "vaccine" required, it was already FDA approved. It was called something like Alveca (or something like that, I'll have to go back and see if I can find it). Fauci, in one of his emails, was telling another person he'd told his own family and friends to go get some of this stuff. Allegedly it would cure the Rona, even in advanced patients who were near death and on a ventilator. I looked into it a little bit, and it's a drug used to treat severe asthma, and it's an inhaler. But none of us ever heard about this drug, with all the media going bananas, not a word about this drug. Why????
ETA - I went back and looked it up. The drug is called "Alvesco". Fauci mentions it in an email dated March of 2020...back BEFORE all this lockdown crap began!!

I remember back in the 60s everyone went to the high school gym on Sunday afternoon to get the sugar cube with the polio vaccine. My granddad wanted to put the sugar cube in a cup of coffee.
