Sounds like when most of Virginia wanted to join West Virginia. Leaving the eastern 1/4 with D/C. Heck, if D/C wants to be the 51st state, they can have the same eastern 1/4 of Va.

It's gaining momentum but will also require Congress to act, which will not happen.

If people are serious preserving their freedoms and liberties, they need to do more than merely talk about it.
Seems Seattle was able its own autonomous zone.

"If the people are serious".........<this. The Seattle autonomous came into being because the people who run Seattle weren't willing to shed blood. If we the people are willing to bleed for what we want, we will have what we want in very short order. At this point in our history no government would be willing to start killing people to enforce their rules.
The one way I may be wrong. The commies might be willing to start shooting real, God fearing Americans because they so fear these kinds of people. But I believe if there is a form of shooting back it will stop quickly. The commies, the mullahs, the tyrants, the despots and dictators have one thing in common. They don't mind shedding other peoples blood but they ain't planning on shedding their own blood so take it to them and end of problem. But what do I know.

I believe it would be very difficult to inact.
Even the Constitution is kind murky on the subject and I believe only 2 times has a state been carved out of another state. Once with consent and once without; Mass gave up land to make Main and WV was carved out of VA as a break away pro-union section of the state(This was an illegal act one of many Lincoln committed).

We have had a few proponents of a new "Liberty" state that encompassed North Idaho, East Washington, and East Oregon. I was all for it except for the inclusion of Oregon. That state is so far gone, I want none of it to be associated with up here.

The east side of Oregon, minus the Bend area, is very conservative minded. Probably far more so than what you find in the Spokane area.

The gubmint was MORE than willing to shed PATRIOT blood to make a statement.
