Interesting officer involved shooting
L.A.P.D. Officer Toni McBride in 2019.
The police officer is the daughter of the head of the LAPD Union. I’ll share some other info on this, soon.

I wasn't there or the office involved.
Clearly a threat but was it immediate? No doubt it could have led to on but maybe not during the shots fired.
Folks in the background should have been taken into consideration.
Knife was a box cutter with a folding blade.

From witness video it was determined that the distance from the suspect to the officer was 20ft.
The officer was told the suspect had caused the 5 car accident that created the chaotic scene.
The suspect was distraught and the officer was told he had a knife and had cut himself since causing the accident.
As for the box cutter- I seem to recall terrorist using them on 9/11 quite effectively.

She is a USPSA shooter who shoots with the famed Taran Tactical team.
In the gun world, she is a bit of a celebrity.
And if course- the family of the suspect is suing because she is a “gun slinger first”.

Approaching officers with a knife and refuses to put it down after being told to more than once. Justified 100% IMHO.
However, certainly the "Language/Hablar" issue will more than likely be brought up in court.

Yeah, it is a very good thing she is a good shot (which probably affected her decision). Those people in the background were absolutely in the shooting line.

Wow! Completely professional; every decision she made was on the mark. She should be the hero of all female LEO's.
Body camera footage should automatically print at the bottom: "objects in front of the camera are closer than they appear".
