    I smoked a big pork loin in apple wood on Friday. Today will be grilled boneless chops from that loin and will be covered in BBQ sauce during their last few minutes on the grill. Didn't even know it was National BBQ day 🙂


    Along with the chops there will be baked potato's and local grown (asparagus steamed in beer & butter)

    I bought a pack of chuck eye steaks last night. I think they taste better than ribeye and cost half as much.

    Put asparagus on a cookie sheet, drizzle with good olive oil, sprinkle with sea salt and roll around to cover it, then right on the grill with the steaks. Lord have Mercy!

    ...I smoked a bunch of ribs yesterday...potato salad...garlic French bread and ribs today...good thing I smoked yesterday because its been raining all day and "sposed to rain all week...at least theres no baseball sized hail or tornados today...storms Tues are supposed to be strong/severe...its spring....

    Center Point BBQ was very good! Had a nice talk with the owner, great guy, would fit in with a lot of us.

    Wings were over the top and wife’s robes were great - 18 hours on the smoker. Bought sauce to bring back and plan on ordering holiday hams - ham was amazing!

    Hope your bbqs were good today!

    Clearly I’m looking for wing brine recipes!!

    Ended up doing kielbasa dogs instead of just plain hot dogs, got lucky as the sun came out for just long enough to git r done, then the rain came back.
