This mess has to come to a head sooner or later. The cops don't want to work for a crooked mayor who doesn't value them. The decent citizens had better wake up and run these punks off their streets before they take over and it's too late. A few years back that red headed punk would have been taught to have respect, if not for police officers then for fellow humans. It ain't gonna end well. Watch this 4 min. video.

The whole country is being manipulated. Police and courts had been given to much power and protection. The militarization of police, civil forfeiture abuse, none warranted no knock warrants, and other issues needed addressed and reigned in. Of course the blow back didn't take the form it should have and was hijacked by racial issues, which are not the issues needing corrected. Now, because it has been made into something it's not there are two major lines of thought, strip the police of power and give the police more power. The police didn't need more power, it needed reigned in, however they also do not need to be stripped of power.
So rather than address real issues in police powers it has been manipulated into this BS. The end result will not be local and state peace officers doing their job and handling crime like it should be. The end result will end up with more federal control over local and state departments with no corrections to the abuses that were systemic and needed corrected.
I do not blame local officers for removing themselves from the fray, I would probably do the same. IMO this is being handled to cause just that. With more federal control and new officers that can be trained "appropriately" policing can be changed to what suits those controlling this.

And just who will they hire to implement this "change". The minimum standard will have to be lowered till the replacements will be incompetents who can't work anyplace else. We have enough government employees like that now. Just look the next time you pass a government crew working on the roads. Eight men, four trucks, and two guys actually working. It is going to be very interesting to see how the N.Y. libs react to the increasing crime rate when it starts really affecting them. When they are afraid to go outside of their apartments. Don't any of them remember what it was like under Koch or David Dinkins?? Oh wait, I remember now. They will move down here and bring all their crap with them. That will be their solution.

I have noticed in the last few years that the kind of people that want law enforcement jobs,are not the kind of people that should have them.I support law enforcement people and am no way a cop hater but I have seen standards lowered so we get what we get.

A guy or gal waving a smart phone around in the dark is easily mistaken for a firearm. I have never cared much for smart phones. I have seen way too many zombies that have an addiction to those things.
I can easily see why there is an ammo shortage and a furious supply of new gun owners. If we citizens are not prepared to defend ourselves, there will be no useful means of municipal local or state backup for any criminal life\death\property situation.

The totally trustworthy department of justice is already examining metropolitan police forces for systemic racialism. Soon, they'll declare the only way to eliminate said racism is to federalize all police forces.
And those fellows they'll bring in aren't going to have any qualms about trampling your rights, collecting your guns or issuing some social justice. And that deputy sheriff who seems like a good guy and his daughter plays soccer with yours is going to be in the same mess.

CHINA uses face recognition and track any one not towing the line from j-walking to any crime and prevent them from not getting loans or school for the kids among other things

Police need to rethink the command "drop the gun". People are simply not going to drop their very expensive phone and the motion to put it down carefully points it at the nervous cop.
If your phone gets busted when you drop it then you probably shouldn't have been doing whatever it was that got the police's attention to begin with. "Boo hoo hoo, I broke my phone." Beats being used as a catchers mitt for incoming rounds, doesn't it?
