Believe it or not, you can still buy a DeLorean.

Well I have seen some and wasn't impressed. A Renault engine and so small inside. A friend bought one from Grace Slick in 1983 when I lived in Reno. I remember one of the pit bosses at the Flamingo in Vegas had one that was painted orange.

If you want one that goes fast it must have that "Flux Capacitor" installed on the engine 😊

One of our neighbors had one a long time ago. For quite awhile it was his daily driver.
I thought the “ad” was funny so I posted it.

Back in the 80s, somehow, the remaining inventory of the DeLoren's after the bankruptcy sale ended up in Columbus, Ohio. Over a few year period of time I would see these DeLoren's advertised in the Columbus Dispatch newspaper with gradually declining prices.
I remember thinking the prices would end up going much higher X number of years down the road but although I considered it I didn't buy a few to store. The primary reason I didn't was I didn't have a place to store them.

I drove a brand new one that had less then a hundred miles on it , one of the first 15 or so that before being available for sale in the USA, were privately imported by a bunch of sport injury doctors, sport specializing lawyers/agents , and sports legends.
My wife worked as an RN with one of the doctors, when dropping her off to work one day, here comes the Doc driving his spanking new super car Delorean. The Doc and I talk about the car for a few minutes the car,
Just before driving away he calls out to me,"would you like to drive?" tossing the keys to me and saying have fun but bring it back!
Well I did drive it, it was really a great experience driving it ,compared to other normal cars of the day .
It was fun and exciting but was way out of my price range, I will never forget that day.
