Cop fired for "Anonymous" Donation

    Reading the article, he used his work email when making the donation. If people need to understand one thing that is anything done on a company/goverment computer is not private. In fact most entities has a very clear policy of not using work computers for personal use.

    Wihtin the last two years there have been two city employees locally that were fired for using their work computer for personal use. Easy to use violation of policy to fire someone. In fact one employee appealed and lost.

    Hard to believe he worked in Internal Affairs and did not know about policy.

    Many moons ago, a Deputy Sheriff in Idaho shot and killed a couple who had kidnapped and sexually assaulted his teen-age daughter. I thought his actions were reasonable, so I made a small contribution to his legal defense fund. I made no secret of it, but no one bothered me about it.
