New Mexico Turkey Hunt
I'll post more pics later, but a success it was. 10 hour drive, full day hunting, and 10 hours back to Arkansas.

That looks like a Goulds Turkey.
Nice job. I used to really be into turkey hunting.

How did you make it from Arkansas to New Mexico in only 10 hours? You weren't stopping for anything.
Congratulations on the Turkey.

If NE I’ve hunted much of that country ,,,,,, antelope, deer, elk, bear and ‘turkey’.
Saw plenty of each on this trip, except the bear of course.

I hunted that area a few times(maybe 10) and always did good. I think I shot my best antelope there or at least it was my best shot on one. If I remember right it was around Raton. I shot a few Javelina too we used handguns, they flush like quail.
Could be a Rio Grand with the darker back, IIRC Gould's were more brown on the back but both of them have similar markings on the tail. Anyway its been a long time since I was out there, 30 years or so.
Nice Turkey BTW should be a nice mount.
