  He was a DEMOCRAT, however politicians today with a "D" following their name on a ballot openly accept Marxism rather than the core principles of the party back in Mondale's time.

  sad he was was not driving a bus load of current left'est on a very steep mountain trail on the way to the next peaceful protest when he passed away
