    Pregnancy isn't an illness. If she felt up to going out on a hike, then why not?

    a lot of gals work or just go about there daily business as normal until its time then they have the bundle of joy and then back to work

    sure she / they could have just settled on a nice walk around home possibly would have been a better choice taking away the odds of falling or similar accidents while hiking in the mountain's

    but they made it back home in the end thats all that matters

    Mark, she is close enough that she doesn't need to go into labor on a trail up in the boonies. She and hubby spend lots of time walking in the subdivision where they live. Both Charlie and Saint walk with them. Every bodies happy, walking 3, 4, 5 miles a day. {except for Saint, the laziest Border Collie in the Universe}

    She does have an ace in the hole, her hubby is an ER Doc, but still.....................

    So this must be her first child. I can tell you from experience that children number 4 and beyond can happen between the sink and refrigerator. not my experience personally but my wife's.

    I'd have to agree that this wasn't the best choice regardless of the outcome. Just follows the far too common "Dial whine 11" mentality--do foolish things and then expect someone else to pull your *** out of the fire.

    Agree, pregnant girls love to walk and the Docs recommend it. Dont sound stupid to me.

    Stupid and insanity runs rapid in government, not pregnant females.

    It's a wonder we humans have existed and prospered all these thousands of years, how ever did we do it?

    ain't no thang! my wife about the same length of pregnancy decided it would be a great thing to go dewberry picking for some cobblers. she didn't think of the ramifications of all those chiggers in various places that neither she could get to, not i would want to scratch.
