Ruger PC Carbine 9mm rattles
Just put my hands on my ruger pc carbine today. Got home and wiped it down, and looked it over.... the hand guard (floated barrel) has some raised burrs from machining in the wrong direction ... if I file them down, then the finish will be gone. On a cold day, I know I'll get cut. Anyone else have this?
Also, I put a magazine in, it clicked in place, but is as loose as all get out ... I double checked I had the correct insert in place, and I did.
Took the magazine out, and wanted to see if anything else was loose, so shook the gun hard, rattle rattle rattle on the interior, behind the bolt.
I could make a video to post here if you think it'd help.
I'm thinking I may write to ruger, what do you think?

ruger it’s a value priced gun , like a ford truck, they rattle This gun will rattle ... maybe a firing pin in there?
And personally I would file away and then just touch up with cold blue

"ruger it’s a value priced gun , like a ford truck,"
Well, that was an insult to Ruger.

I have this one
Ruger® PC Carbine™ Autoloading Rifle Model 19112
By clicking on a link above, you will leave the Ruger website and be transported to the website of an independent, federally licensed retailer of Ruger® products. Once there, you can verify that the Ruger® firearm you seek is available through that retailer and order it, subject to all federal, state and local laws.Bill Hicks Distributor Exclusive
model # 19112, it has a Synthetic forearm so no burrs but no rattles of any kind and the mag (Ruger 17rd ) locks in tight , maybe you should try a different mag see if that helps , if not give Ruger a call

No issues at all with my PC 40. Even spent a little extra for the Mccarbo stainless steel recoil retainer.. Rugers is plastic.. and an upgraded Buffer. Runs like a top.

I have had to send various Ruger products back to Ruger, the first time around 1975. I have always been well satisfied with their warranty work.
If you have issues, have Ruger address them. Doesn't cost anything.

Made a video. I refuse to think the maker of the solid 10/22 is just shipping out slop like this.
They got back to me from my contact form, and basically told me to call them to arrange an RMA (does this include shipping costs on them?)
Here is a video I just made about the rattle, it shouldn't take upgrade parts to sound solid imo;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; https://youtu.be/E1loEkl4Rwg

The top pockets have smooth edges, but on the bottom, look at those raised edges. As a machinist, I'd get written up putting stuff like that onto the manufacturing floor, anyone gets cut from my work, pink slip. I do expect more from this company.

Ruger customer service is great.
The slop in the bolt is by design. They are sending a new handguard. A+ for Ruger!

Ruger isn't what it once was.

I just went into the closet and pulled out my PC40. Absolutely no slop in the action to rattle around. Glock mag will move a little but not like your video .

This has got the tungsten counter-weight in the bolt, and the older ones did not ... so maybe there was a trade-off in design?
Only time will tell.
