Ni-Cad, Li-Ion, Or Ni-MH Battery Replacement For Streamlight Stinger?
I have two older model Streamlight Stinger flashlights. Both have been back to Streamlight for the LED bulb upgrade. Both still have the original style Ni-Cad battery sticks, but one battery has ceased to take a charge.
So, I searched online and find that there are alternatives available now. Apparently, I don't have to replace my Ni-Cads with Ni-Cads. I can also get Lithium Ion or Nickel Metal Hydride batteries.
Which is the best choice?

Have you considered a thermal battery?
The flashlight will only work once but it will perform great!
Seriously though, I would go Li-Ion.

Li all the way. There's no comparison until the rumored liquid metal batteries come around.
