I use lots of Hoppe's #9 and rolls of blue shop towels, and Southern Bloomer Patches. I don't really care that much what oil I use as long as it isn't Breakfree. I don't care for CLP, too thick. That's funny cause I bought a whole gallon at a gun show twenty years ago. It is still setting in my den under my work table. I buy 500 count bags, #124, of Southern Bloomer, 3"x3" cotton patches and use them for everything. For a 9mm or .38 I will just grab a corner with the brass fitting on one of my Dewy pistol rods, .44 or .45 the rod goes in the middle. On a 12 ga. I will use two or three. If I have to do a .22, I cut them to size. I have tried other patches but these are my favorite. No lint or threads, and they clean well.

    I rarely buy patches . I have tons of old T-shirt’s . A few minutes with a pair of scissors and I have months of patches

    I've used a bunch of those. The course weave really holds and removes a lot of gunk from shotgun barrels. Swab the bore with Shooters Choice and let it set for 10 minutes and force a couple of layers of those through and the amount of plastic from the shotcups that comes out is amazing. I also cut them down as needed for smaller bores. Bob

    I use straight Acetone for plastic in shotgun barrels.
