Re: private selling of smokeless powder?
Hey, everyone. I'm not sure if this is the right place for this or not, but after hours of searching, I haven't been able to answer my own question. Anyways, I have a bunch of unopened smokeless powder that I'm looking to sell. I don't reload anymore so I don't have a need for it. I know the stuff is hard to find so I figured I'd put it out there at current market price based on the final auction prices.
That said, I am at a loss as to whether or not I need a specific license to list it here on the site and ship it, or if I should post it in some local marketplace. I have yet to find a local marketplace that isn't Facebook, and they prohibit these listings. I am in Maine so I feel there's got to be an outlet somewhere for me to create a listing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to the Gun Broker forums.
Powder and loaded ammunition, including primed brass, cannot be mailed. UPS adds a $32 hazmat charge for each box containing smokeless powder up to 48 pounds. Shipping individual cans of powder means a $32 charge for each box. If you can sell the powder as one lot it could be workable, otherwise a local sale would likely be easier.
