Traded for a good one today
A good one for the auction side anyway, I don't care for synthetic stocks. Ruger M77 Mark II in 220 Swift with zytel skeleton stock. From what I have read, not many were offered in the Swift.

That is kind of short to get all out of a 220 swift but it is still a great cartridge, are you going to keep it? It is kind of homely. I have never seen the allure of the zytel stock.

After what my 220 Swift mark II brought I almost felt guilty but it started st a buck. You will do insanely well 😇

When those were being sold I neither particularly liked them or disliked them, I just thought of them as practical.

Yep, My tikka is synthetic and stainless. That's what I wanted though because, as stated, it's practical.

I think those boat paddle stock Rugers have almost a cult following.

They must because they are butt ugly. I think that was a good trade. The Henry Big Boy is even more fugly.

They could be a pain in the rear if you didn't sleeve those panel screws on the forend. If over tightened, it would change the pressure on the barrel and the point of impact.

The rounded edge on the recoil pad equals miserable recoil. Wouldn't notice it in 220 SW but my daughter's 270w kicks like a 300w or more.
