Cleaning guns
I have been cleaning guns in my gun room/reloading hole that is in the basement. The whole finished basement smell of Kroil, Hoppes #9 and gun oil.
My wife came down to see what I was up to and said what is that smell? I told her and she said "that smells good, different but kind of good". I smiled and said "I knew there was a reason I married you", I got a kiss for it😊

I think it was #9 she liked.
My wife is cool with guns and reloading. I told her if the house is on fire grab the dogs and run.

Ive been waxing my guns lately, hope it works out. Works for museums, so it should work for me.

While I know most here use #9 as aftershave, I hate the odor. I use Bore Tech Eliminator. Nuf said.

you do have a good wife and her a good husband from what I can tell
my wife puts up with me and the guns but strong smells ( no not me LOL ) she does not care for but deals with it well
flip side I am too picky if I shoot a gun I feel compelled to take it all the way down and clean every part ( blame on on some disorder now house cleaning is a different story 😁 ) .
so I try and just shoot my sons ( he is a run a bore snake wipe the outside and good to go type of cleaning ) when he comes over and only shoot a couple maybe three of mine at any given time . I do take them out of the safe a couple times a year wipe them down . then back in the safe . excluding a couple I leave out for fast access

Yes my wife puts up with a lot from me. The only thing she does not like is my music so I have a good set of head phones😉
