    thank all of you

I know most all of us have traveled the same path .

it sure seems like just a short time ago we took in a 8 to 10 week old puppy . and now saying good by to her twelve years later . sad to see the other dogs seem to know something is wrong they keep looking for her

we have a male wiener dog also " Butch" , we got just a few weeks before we got Wendy they have always been inseparable .

Very sorry to hear about your loss D\R. One of my thoughts about Heaven and the afterlife is the fact that I will need to have a bed about the size of a semi trailer to hold myself and all of my departed furry friends!

Sorry for your loss DR. That little spot in your heart will be empty for the rest of your time on earth, but a tiny spot in your brain will be filled with those good memories.

    thanks all

our male wiener dog Butch ( we got just several week before getting Wendy ) is still looking for her and easy to see he is missing her , its sad to see him wondering what happened to her they spent the last twelve years 24/7 together ,

Yeah that's a tough one. I'll be putting down my 12-year Pit Lupine here pretty soon from cancer. My 2-year Pit Maisey lives for her rough housing and play time, and she's going to be devastated when Lupine's gone.

I'm thinking I'll be introducing a new puppy Pit to the house. She can chew on Maisey and gnaw and be obnoxious until Maisey corrects her a few times and they start to form a bond. Then I bet the play will start, and Maisey will be the matriarch, carrying forward what she learned from Lupine.

It's the cycle of life, and we're honored to get to see it happening. Don't mourn for what you've lost, treasure her memories. And smile as you see her spirit being pushed out into the next generations.
