Hard to say. IT still could show up as the gremlins are still out there. And I have had stuff go to Japan, yes Japan from the states and wind up getting to me about a month later. Don't give it up yet.

I don't care what anyone says regarding shipping, insured or otherwise. Seller is 100% responsible for delivery of item. Seller is responsible whether he charged enough to add insurance or not but this is not even debatable.

File a claim it might lite a fire and help it find its' way to you... although I'm not sure if receiver or sender has to do the filing.

Maybe sellers should start adding a disclaimer, "Not responsible for items once I ship it", and see how that works out for you.

As a buyer and seller, I absolutely believe the seller is responsible for the item till it reaches the hands of the buyer.

Jim, the seller/shipper will need to fill out and submit USPS Form 1000, which I believe can also be done online. I think at least 3 weeks must have passed since the mailing date before filing a claim. The original mailing receipt, which the seller will have- is required.

I just had a Colt Python give me this notice: Held at Post Office, At Customer Request

    BUCYRUS, OH 44820:

No body requested that. Two days later it was deliver to it's correct location.

Priority mail has automatic 50.00 insurance above that it has to be paid extra

I can not be positive but it's the seller resopinabilty as they had last control of the item also they shipped it and need to file the lost package claim

Also go to your PO there system has better tracking info vs what on line shows us

My locaal post office had been a big help in the past

They have for me . if yours ( post office ) will call the last po it was at and stat looking

they have found mine in the past . my local Post master tells me they have people at each PO to look for a lost item ?

maybe but they have always found mine

Filing a claim is the sellers job, not yours.

If you bought something on Amazon and it didn’t show up, Amazon would take responsibility for it.

Agreed. How would is possibly be the recipient's responsibility to track down a pkg being shipped to them? Seller paid for the shipping and shipped it, after being paid by the receiver. Seller must file the Claim. (Hopefully insured and they kept the paperwork.) If truly lost, Seller refunds all the purchase expenditures of the receiver.

As a buyer, I am the one who loses when something I bought is not delivered. That is why I will look hard for the item. The seller might not care, he has his money already.

I have never completely lost an item, but I have had a few I had to track down, both as a buyer and as a seller. I want everything to turn out right for the person I am dealing with.

Certainly not USPS - US Government, nobody is accountable 😄

Only two weeks? That's nothing. It'll get there.

When a package of mine gets hung up, I contact my postmaster with the tracking info. She can look it up and even find images of it online. After that, it mysteriously shows up.

That’s what I figure. This is the first time in all my dealings with the Post Office that there has been this big of a delay.

Several years ago I had purchased a coin on another site....It was valued at approx. $250.00. Several weeks went by without it arriving... It just fell off grid about halfway to me. The seller was gracious and actually sent me a better coin after 6 weeks went by. 6 months after it was mailed, it arrived at my home. The shipping box was inside of another box when it arrived. The internal/original shipping box was almost destroyed. The coin was inside a plastic holder and was not damaged.

I contacted the seller and he thanked me for getting back to him. He told me to choose between the coins and mail one back which I did. He received it three days later....

USPS tracking can be pursued by shipper. I have a claim in on a gb item. In over 6 weeks and still waiting.

Do not get your drawers in a knot yet.

USPS has some new battery operated Vec's so as they can be more efficient. Their battery is probably charging.

USPS has submitted a PLAN so as to get better and more efficient for YOU.

    Knowing .USPS, I wouldn’t doubt it.😁

    I can see the tracking:

”Package has arrived at Cairo postal facility “

As Nunn said, a call to my local postmaster seems to work wonders, she does some digging and the package always starts moving again.

    I’ll try that next week.

I insure everything I ship for whatever it is worth. I use heavy duty boxes I purchase from Uline, the best packing material I know of, and miles of heavy duty 2" packing tape. I do the best I can to protect my shipments. If there is a problem it is up to the shipper to file a claim.
