I would start with what I want the rifle to do and work backwards from there.

I have posted previously on this thread, what it will be for.

Nice I think they will love it, I have the Rossi and the Henry great little guns and sharing ammo is awesome too

The only 357 i own is a Rossi 92 stainless. On occasion one will feel a little "gritty" but dressing the interior part corners

will usually make them smooth right up. An old ceramic knife will do a good job of that.

Thanks for the link Steve/Neo. Exactly what we were looking for.

The Rossi's are usually slick guns.

I have had several and Ricci is selling my last one in 44 mag.

This is one of the best I have owned, much better that a 94 Winchester or a Marlin IMO. Slick, smooth and accurate with cast lead bullets.

Oh man I looked at the gun and it has the stupid safety on top. There is a guy who sells a thing that does away with the useless doodad. I would get rid of it ASAP I hate crap like that.

that rifle and pistol combo will eat lots of ammo, I plink/practice with 38's and carry 357's. You may want to consider talking him into an old rockchucker reloader, though the components now are as hard to find as ammo...

Hey Neo/Steve, Thanks again for the link. That Rossi 92 was PERFECT for my Son to pair up with his new .357mag Revolver.

I had previously suggested a Win 94 or Marlin 336 as "What would be the ONE Rifle you would pick for all around use?" Prior to his picking up the .357mag Revolver. Being a big fan of Rifle/Handgun combos, your suggestion was perfect, but had not occured to me. (Yet)

We hit it with a high bid with 2 1/2 days left, and it jumped up to within $35 or so of our max bid, not too far off from the BIN. Decided to go back and hit it with the BIN to secure it. It looked like it was going that direction. Smooth transaction. It is on the way. Thanks again. 👍

Now (apparently) He is going to have to put on his Man Pants, and tell the girlfriend. 😂

My Son stopped at his LGS yesterday to shop for ammo and get the FFL on the way to the Seller. He texted me that he had paid $200 for 100 rounds of .38 Special and 357mag. (50 of ea.)

I thought he got ripped off, (but) when I started to look at GB, all of the Auctions for those rounds was at that, plus ship charge. Just CRAZY.

I gave My Sister a Taurus nickle plated. 38 snubbie and a couple boxes of .38 Special and some high end carry ammo this past year. Who knew how much how it would be worth, or hard to replace. 😢

I just checked ammoseek - looks like 38 special is still going crazy @ $0.933 per round.

    I have always wanted a Savage model 24 in 357 mag & 20 gauge.

    Not really common though.

Never seen a Savage 24 in .357/20ga. Did not even know that was even in the mix. I used to own a .22mag over a 20ga. I now own a 24V in .30 .30 over a 20ga. (Thanks to Select.)

Tempted to sell it. The last two 24's that Kasey sold went over $1100.

(But) Then who would have ever thought that 100 rounds of .38 Special and 357mag would cost $200? CRAZY.

Sad...I remember when 7.62X39 was only $50.00 per thousand...

    Or 3/4 cents/rnd for .22LR.

I am ashamed to even admit what i paid for my last 1K rounds of .22LR, here on GB. 🤕

I had a Rossi 92 in .357 & I liked it but decided to go for a Ruger .44 Mag rifle/pistol combo but nothing wrong with it.

Just texted the Son - "I've decided to just have the rifle shipped to me to pair up with my .357mag revolver. Sorry." 🤔😂

Told him, "We will find another one for you. This will keep you out of trouble with your girlfriend."

    He responded "No way, really?"

Me - "Yup, I'm really gonna like that. We will find another for you." 😂

Messing with the Boy. Priceless. 👍

This is like a soap opera. A bad one.

Maybe you would like it better, If I was posting about Folgers Black Silk Coffee or Sonic Breafast Burritos? 🤔

  • Ricci.Wright

The coffee is too strong for you and you could never appreciate the delicate flavor of a Sonic Treat. Better stay with taco bell and mountain dew.

How about Homemade Beef Jerky, right off the dehydrator and freshly made Southern Sweet Iced Tea?

That's what has been consumed today. Have some Homemade Chili, I am getting ready to consume also.

Have not hit Taco Bell in probably 9-10 months. How long has it been since you hit Sonic? 3-4 days? (If that.) 🤔
