Steyr AUG standard vs NATO version

There was an auction that had pictures of a standard Steyr AUG (bolt release, left ejection port) yet the person who posted said auction says that the AUG he's selling take AR15 magazines. I'm just wondering if there's a version of the AUG that has the features of the standard one that take AR15 magazines, the person doesn't know what he's talking about or is this person setting up a scam?
