Ammo prices falling
9 mm ball is going for .65 to .70 per round. Still high but going in the right direction.

For now maybe.......hope it is truly a trend

I noticed on the wikiarms listings ammo has been very slowly dropping not as fast as it went up but still a improvement I will guess a lot of CC are maxed out for now , then again over the next few weeks a 1400.00 (carrot in front of the horse ) will be passed out I bet a share will to to guns and ammo ( I know sad to hear Ricci 😁 )
when I go grocery shopping I swing by Walmart its been a very long time there cases have been empty, its the only place with in 20 miles or so to buy ammo . and they always have the daily line up of locals every time a few dollars can be made on ammo

i've noticed most of the "lesser known" online retailers are getting ammo quantities in, a big wave of the "russian" ammo has hit the market also very decent prices!

Two things could happen, maybe three.
Folks will eventually buy all they think might ever need.
Spend all the money they have or max out their CC.
And third the powers that be can create an environment where ammo will be almost unattainable.
Ammo will pack the shelves then.
2 cents.

Still none showing up here locally in eastern nc . Shelves are still bare

High prices and empty shelves should be a wake up call for those who weren't properly prepared.

I just lost an auction for 8lbs of powder. My max bid was $460
I don’t feel like things are going down.

Holy smokes that is a lot for 8#'s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not going to buy ammo, powder or primers at the silly prices. If we keep paying silly prices, they will keep charging silly prices. When the price gougers figure out they are stuck with it,the prices will come down.

I was looking for some H1000 for a buddy of mine and some of the BIN's were a $1200 for an 8# jug!

Someone posted on here an auction for 8lb of retumbo that sold for $1700, a couple weeks ago.

I have a 4# keg of Ramshot shillouete that I got to reload 9mm. Its unopened I looked and the price was still on it and it was 69 bucks. That was about 7 years ago.
I stored it in an old cooler with some other powder and some desiccant packs so its good. I bet it would bring big bucks now.

If you can find someone dumb enough to pay those kind of prices you should sell it!

My dealer had some 9mm ammo (Remington) and large rifle primers (Federal) arrive this week. He sold me a 250 round box of 9mm for $90 and 5 boxes of primers for $5/box, and this is in Alaska.

Sell it local, your not the only gun nut in your neighborhood I would bet.

I have to laugh at all the morons shelling out 80c a rnd for 9mm. --I've been through 3 of these "calamities" since the mid eighty's -The result was always the same.

Just proves that some folks have too much money for their own good. The only ammo I've bought in over a year was a back order from April 2019 that was finally shipped last month. Surprisingly, the sale price from 2019 was honored (a 10 box case of 224 Valkyrie 60 grain BT for $124.60 including shipping) .

I’ve been reloading 9mm for around $.16 per round.

I wish 45-70 ammo would drop in price, it's bringing around $4 a round.

jimdeere if you cast your own you can get that down even more. My only problem with loading 9mm and 38/357 is the small bullets are a PITA to put on the case in my 550. I have 2 550's one is set up for small primers the other for large and I like loading 45 and 44 much better. 5.56 is a PITA too.
I drove up from GA yesterday and stopped at 3 gun stores around Charlotte NC. The prices were high on what they had and very limited stock on ammo and guns.

My Son stopped at his LGS a few days ago to purchase some .38 Special and .357mag. He paid $200 for 100 rounds. (50 of each) I thought he got ripped off. I went on to GB and started looking. Yep, that is about the going price for them. Avg. was $200/100 plus shipping.
Unreal.
I gifted my Sister a .38 Special snubbie and a couple boxes of ammo this past year when she complained that LGS's had about Zero handguns to choose from, after she got her CCW. Who knew those boxes of ammo would be so hard to replace?

jimdeere- you must have had your components already. A friend sold 1000 primers yesterday for $.20 each ($200). They are higher on GB when you add in shipping and tax.

I did, except for projectiles. You can still get them on the auction side if you shop around.

Cabelas in Mitchell SD had 39 boxes of mixed caliber. That is triple the amount they have had for the past three times I have been there. I guess it is getting better.

As soon as I shoot ups 12K I am going to buy some more. Buy low and save it!

prices still too high for me to buy stuff so I will just have to make do with my 30000 rounds I have loaded already.
