Currently the two model 52's on the auction side are going for $648 & $700' .

There is another, a 1966 year, starting bid at $1499. It has 0 bids.

Python's go for $3800 and up. Yeah, I suppose he is willing to trade.

Do it, quick before he backs out. Your Python is a new version correct?

This is the new Python, so it's only going for about $2k. On the completed side there is one 1961 mod. 52 and it went for $2025.

There are 2 versions of the 52, Master version is big bucks.

Cheaper version was produced later than yours.

Smaller market for the Smith if you decide to sell. I would have to draw about 400 difference .imo

Joe, I will still have one, don't really need two unless I happen across a 4".

I would not trade any of my older Pythons for the Smith for sure, new Python, any day.

I would shoot the newer Pythons but not mint in box ones. Would not shoot the Smith unless it has been already been shot outside the factory.

    Rephrase, cheaper to less desirable.

The 52 is a bullseye shooters dream. I never saw one that wasn't a good if not great shooter. What will you do with it? Is it for target shooting or as an investment? With todays ammo prices the value, with the ammo included, is comparable to your new Pythons. Since I don't have the eyesight to compete anymore, I would keep the Pythons and shoot one and put the other one away as an investment. Strange things are happening at Colt and if the new one is discontinued or they don't keep the quality up your NIB Python will rise in value overnight. Just my 2 cents. Bob
