On March 10, 2021, Chuck turned 81. So he IS getting along. 😕 That being said, I doubt many folks would enjoy getting tagged by him. 🙄.

I have a buddy who I have done a lot of training with who knows Mr. Norris well having received a black belt from him and in fact having been on his TV show. My friend has been involved in the martial arts for many years and is well known. I have had the pleasure of attending some martial arts sparring seminars with my buddy and have had the pleasure, and pain of learning from some of these old men. Some of these guys were big stars in the 1970's and 80's, on the covers of Black Belt magazine and some in the Black Belt hall of fame. Some are getting a little pudgy and wrinkled but let me tell you right now. Woe be to any but the the very well trained who are foolish enough to lay a hand on one of them. The last one I worked out with beat my legs till I had trouble walking for a few days. Using nothing but 1/2 power kicks to the inside of my thighs. He was in his late 60's.

Norris's dog has a sign in the yard. "Beware of Owner" The dog is there to warn the intruder.

Had Pure bred dachsunds (that we 1st acquired while living in Germany) a long time ago, they are a fearless fiesty breed, developed for hunting by going down in burrows etc.
They act like they are much bigger than they actually are.

The fiercest watchdog is a GOOSE !
Constantly alert
Will cause a LOUD alarm if strangers arrive
Will attack trespassers with little regard to their personal safety ... VICIOUS BIRDS !
They defecate everywhere, making their quarry less sure footed

Those Geese punt really good. The trick is to not be afraid of them. (Swans are much worse.)

If a grown man in reasonably good shape lets a goose whip him then he deserves it. Grab that long neck in both hands and twist, or just kick the damn thing. It's a stupid bird.

While trying to hold on to a full grown domestic goose I once learned how strong them big wings are!
My eye glasses were easily repaired with new frames but it took about a week for my black eye to go away. The teasing I got during that week will long be remembered.
That goose became the highlight of that years Christmas dinner! I never get mad at critters but I do get even! 🙂

we have had several over the years ( dachshunds ) have two currently who are getting up in age .
they have all been good . over all , but as you say have no fear our current male butch would take on any thing we had 140 pound German Shepard (Buddy ) that we lost two years ago . butch would get ticked off and go after him with a vengeance
thank goodness Buddy was such a tolerant dog when it came to butch or others he was scary and barked like it but just a big baby . the little girl wiener dog is reserve and so laid back like a little sweetie but I see her take down and gut one of ducks once that got too close to her before I could get there . they were bred to be self thinking and aggressive as they were normally on there own in a hunt way out in front of the hunters and going down holes after badgers ? I think it was they have no fear .
as far as Chuck Norris , he is truly a living legend . I am amazed at the memes on the internet about him, that alone shows how popular and recognized he is . I wish him many more birthdays to come ,
