From my research so far you need to add another thousand unless you want to stay with ATN. Pulsar has one for 1800.00 the reviews on it is mixed. The Pulsar thermion gets good reviews but starts at 3000.00

I have searched for many hours on thermal imaging. The $3,000 price range is about right, I can't go that much, yet. Watch hog hunting on youtube and they tell you what thermal devices are being used. Field of vision is very narrow on some of them, others are much more clear making target determination that much better at a distance.

Doing your research is key to getting what you can afford and still do the job. Planet optics .com has a wide selection of them with average descriptions, waiting for sales will get you the biggest bang for your hard earned bucks.
