Help with Remington 512 bolt

    Are you pulling the trigger back as you re-insert the bolt?

    you might even find some assembly/dissamble downloads for that rifle.

    Bolt must be cocked for re-installing.

    you must cock the bolt then reinsert while pulling the trigger all the way back.

    I cocked the bolt and re-inserted it with the trigger pulled back. It went in a little farther but is still getting hung up on something.

    OK try pushing the trigger forward, it sounds like it may be catching the sear so also try moving the safety and pulling trigger to release it completely

    I have had the same problem with my 512.

    The local gun shop got it back together in five seconds.

    Embarrassing.

    I haven't removed the bolt since.
