Why would one
paint the bolt handle on a rifle with thick copper paint?? Ahh, life's little mysteries. Grab my bottle of Acetone.

Maybe it was like one of the first cars I owned....the paint job was the only thing holding it together😮

It must have been a rifle designated to only shoot copper heads!??
Previous owner had to have been military in the mechanics field. Using the right tool for the job was drummed into your head with a hammer. Even the hammer was labeled for personnel training only! 😲

Hope it wasn't painted to cover up blemishes on the bolt handle. Well, I guess you'll find out. Bob

A neighbor once advertised a Corvette he wanted to sell. I went to his house to look at it because the price was really low. Could tell that he had repainted it ----- with oil based paint & a paint brush.

Maybe the same reason someone painted the rifle Kasey has for sale.

Its a Psyops sniper rifle. Leave it on it adds 3 MOA to the gun.

maybe the same reason people use an engraving tool to imprint their drivers license number on the firearm.

What happened to him did his head get so big it exploded?

I hope that didn't happen but If I remember correctly, he had a problem with competitive fishing. I think he filled one catch with so much lead shot that it exploded. I hope he is OK. 🤣
