You gotta like Kroger here if so. west Va. For every $100 you spend for grocerys, you get 10 cents off a gallon of gas, up to $1/gal. Several other ways to earn points also.

Texas is the largest producer of domestic petroleum in the USA, with the Permian Basin and the Eagle Ford shale formations - as well as a large number of refineries. The collapse of their power grid during the recent cold snap severely affected production, both pumping and refining.
Fuel prices always seem to jump up 20 cents or so per gallon then gradually, slowly go back down. Gas that was $2.80 a week ago here in west Michigan is $2.67 today. This up and down cycle has gone on for as long as I can remember.

Just wait prices will be even higher. Just saw an article that OPEC has agreed to reduce production.
With Biden shutting down US production OPEC know when to strike, just like in the 70โs.

^^^^^^THIS^^^^^^ ๐!
Its gonna hit $5 per gallon by summer, then they will "lower" it back to around $4 per gallon and then tell us how much they saved us by LOWERING the price to 4 bucks!!! SMH

running about 2.50 for regular in wise county texas.

I don't know why gas prices are going up. Its new taxes being put onto a gallon of gas, freezes in the deep south and bigfoot being spotted next to the endangered prairie frog mongoose. So don't you dare say cutting the spigot of oil independence raised the price even one penny.

AND
you have got to also look and think a little bit deeper:
Surely some of the politicians relatives and kinfolks that are employed by the Ukraine fuel companies will not benefit from the United States buying more fuels from Ukraine if they reduce production in the USA.
Kinda shameful of the sneaky stuff like this that goes on in politics and we the peon people cannot do anything about it other than VOTE. (also need more term limits)

Trading This morning.
West Texas Intermediate (WTI) $65.93, +$2.10
Brent $69.06, +$2.32
From the jungle drums in the oilfield, states like Texas and North Dakota with much production on private ground are making preparations to crank up multiple drilling projects to take advantage of the increasing crude prices.
But joey b's plan for federal ground is going to kick states like Wyoming, 80% federal ground right squarely in the gonads.
Not sure exactly what his plan bodes for Alaska and the in place infrastructure there on the Slope or in the Cook Inlet.
