    10K is hoarding? Uh oh.

Just a ball park number he had at least that many in one caliber and had multiple calibers pistol and rifle in stacks of open ammo cans he called his " practice ammo " but said had another stock pile for the SHTF days but then it is the internet 😁

10k is not a lot any more I even have a few more than that 😉 . however for many years I had one box of ammo for each gun I owned, I would buy more if I was going to shoot that weekend it was plentiful and some what cheep . funny now but my dad had one 50 round box of 22lr with about eight or ten rounds missing for 60 + years and a box of 16 ga with three missing when he passed on I have them some where ( RIP dad)

How many rounds to the pound ?

That will have to be answered by someone smarter than me.

A googly search says a 22 with 40 grain bullet weighs about 51 grains so there's about 137 to a pound.

Just had a flash that the local FFl had a scale and was weighing them for sale like a butcher.

Agree DR, I don’t see where ya can have too much on hand, especially given the current political climate. At least 3-4 times a week I have friends/acquaintances trying to hit me up for some. Sorry folks, if ya didn’t learn your lessons over the past few years there’s not much I can do to help ya now.

I was buying 9mm in 1,000 Bulk packs and Sorting 100 Rds of 9mm in plastic bags. Drove me nuts counting so finally figured out what 100 weighed and used a postal scale. So much easier. But... those days are over.
