I believe this is a reasonable question. There are sellers and buyers on these boards and if a collective we could come up with a better solution, it would benefit all.

    +1

I don't sell on here but I do buy stuff. I think that is a reasonable question also. I will insure not to use that company for anything either, although I do use a visa card and have bought guns and ammo with it.

IBTL, cobb2000 your other post on this topic was closed.... I agree it is a reasonable question but, it is still complaining about the auction side, and although we can discuss all day, nobody on this side can change anything. My 2 cents.

Legit question/topic as far as I'm concerned, unless it turns into a slam GB thread. Then it'll go bye bye.

Ruger4me yeah, I don't know why that discussion was closed...I'm trying to get information, not complain. This isn't a GB issue (although I wouldn't recommend Authorize.net or advise GB to push business to anti-2A businesses). Now I need a new merchant account in order to accept credit cards, so I'm just trying to determine what payment methods/companies others use to continue doing business.

I have sent a link of this thread to HQ asking for insight, advise. Knowing they are swamped we may or may not get a timely reply.

montanajoe Thanks, HQ should at least be aware and may want to reconsider who is on the list.

When I set up our account on Gunbroker I went with Eprocessing Network/Clearant. I specifically told them that it was being set up to process Gunbroker.com payments for selling firearms online. I made it ABUNDANTLY clear to them up front to make sure there was not going to be any issues with it. I was told at the time that it was no problem.

We have a separate processor for in store credit cards so EPN was to be used only for Gunbroker payments and last year we added an ecommerce website for selling guns and set EPN as the Credit card payment processor for that as well.

I can't say how things will be in the future but so far no problems and as I mentioned earlier I made it clear what the account was going to be used for ahead of time.

We use Authorize . net for our web store. No problems there.

I just can't get thru the Process on Gun Broker to set to up taking payments. I've tried many times

I looked through Authorize dot net's acceptable use guidelines and there is nothing in there about restrictions on firearms, ammunition, or weapons, that I can find. Perhaps it is something else with your business model?

Well, my business model is simple: List ammo for sale, sell ammo, ship ammo

We use Blue Dog.....I had them send me their terms and we negotiated for better rates than what they were offering....never take what they are giving you in the beginning.

Agreed but right off the bat their monthly fee was half of my former provider. Initially, they had a early cancellation fee and contract term in the agreement, so watch out for that too. I made sure I was month-to-month.

My deal breaker that a lot of these companies couldn’t provide was that the fees come out when the batches are closed out at the end of the day. I cannot deal with random bills that come in at the end of the month....I like for the cc payers money to be in the account so I know what I’m working with at the end of the day. They still have some random figure that comes out monthly that has something to do with rewards programs and such.....that they couldn’t take out with the regular fees.
