Looky what I got today.....
For Free! Been in storage for 30+? years. I cleaned her up, and put the weights and pendulum back in, and she's keepin' time! The chimes aren't working though. They may be turned off. I'll have to check.

I have one that looks almost identical to yours. I bought it at an estate sale a dozen years ago for IMMIC 200 bucks. Then discovered my clock needed a "works transplant". Needed all new mechanical guts which set me back another 3oo dollars installed by a local jeweler.
After a few years, my wife started complaining that the chimes and dongs were waking her up every night. The ole Grandma Clock hasn't been rewound ever since. It is VERY accurate regarding the time it presents. Two times a day! 🙄

Have one in cherry, it also is stopped. Too loud. Turns out they are not worth much, no one wants the large ones any longer. Things change generation to generation.

No not yet, Joe. This was assembled from a kit back in the late seventies. I have a couple thin books that came with it that are assembly/operating instructions. Folks back in the 70s must have been smarter though, because these books do not produce much detailed instruction. I think I'll call the guy that I got it from, who is the fella that put it together, and see if he has any ideas.
