How much you want'a bet The Democrats will extend this Freebie even though none ever payed into a State Taxed-Insurance plan. This was never free for me. You can bet my hourly rate was lowered for employers to pay for it in my behalf.

Hourly people employers paid into a state Tax plan to cover their employees here inTexas who are unemployed,Gig workers do not.I don't know your setup so you may pay for employees if your a contractor with employees but if you just use 1099 Tax forms forms for workers (subcontractors) then they pay nothing nor do you.

Maybe, the U.s. government is giving out unemployment benefits to independent contractors they call GiGs . The way they are spending up there ,soon states will rebel and seek to break away from The Union with all the debt they are incurring up there in D.C. Bet on it The FEDs with congress is running the country into the ground with welfare for all.
